Faizal is a registered speech and language therapist with RCSLT and HCPC membership. I have been working in the NHS for the last 9 years with children aged 0-25 years old. I have worked in a range of settings including community clinics, mainstream schools and youth offending service. I am currently working as a speech and language therapist with young people who are on probation. I have a specialist interest in young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs (SEMH) and those where engagement can be challenging. Additional specialist areas include young people with swallowing difficulties (dysphagia).

Faizal provides the following services:

• Formal/Informal Assessments to identify areas of Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN).
• Advice and consultancy to professionals working with young people with SEMH.
• Training to staff in identifying SLCN needs in young people.
• 1:1 therapy sessions focusing on different areas of SLCN such as speech (speech sounds disorders, stammer), language (expressive and receptive) and social-pragmatic skills.
