Proximal is a specialist residential care provider offering safe, stable homes for children and young people aged 10 to 18 years. We support those affected by adverse childhood experiences, trauma, or neurodevelopmental differences, and who require consistent, relational care to grow, and thrive.
Our residential care provides a nurturing, stable home where children are known well, routines are predictable, and aspirations are high. Life is calm and structured, with time for learning, play, and rest. Each child has a trusted key worker, clear and kind boundaries, an individual plan with timely, strengths based support, and personal spaces that feel secure. We listen and work closely with children, families, schools, and health partners, and we celebrate identity and achievement.
Our organisation brings together professionals from social care, child psychology, education, and youth justice, with a shared view: children thrive with adults who are consistent, reflective, and invested in their wellbeing. Proximal is our core philosophy; growth happens through close, everyday relationships, so relational practice guides everything from care to leadership.
